Happy Ending

March 14, 2008

I realize that there is no such thing as Happy Ending or Unhappy Ending. There is an End, Death. Even then, I only say this because I have no knowledge, yet, about hereafter. Knowledge not in the sense of getting the information from other sources, i.e. books, beliefs etc., but experiental knowledge in the Buddhist or spiritual sense. They call it vidya in Sanskrit or vijja in Pali.

Lately I develop a fondness for Javanese gendhing. Listening to them makes me feel like watching a human’s life journey; cyclic patterns until the last strike of all instruments together marks the end of the composition. Despite the at-the-first-sight seemly chaotic events of life, you can glimpse regularities underneath.
