What do you want? (2)
“What do you want?”
Everytime someone asks me that very question, I am perplexed and don’t know the answer. Today a professor asked me the Q, and I became silent for a few seconds. Different occasions, different contexts, yet the same Q. Honestly I have to say, “I don’t know.” Is this a kinda joke of life itself?
Since I was a little child my parents got headache because of my endless “what’s”, “why’s” and “how’s”. While I start getting the answers to my “why’s”, I got stuck with “What do you want?”. Well, I’ve found one answer. However, it seems that once I got one answer, all the other “What do you want?” start rolling and coming my way.
“What do you want?” (context: future job/ career)
“Well, let me see. Err, actually, I don’t know (yet).”
I guess I can’t do much at this moment except following the adage “just wait and hope (that the answer will pop up someday, hopefully soon)” Pfff…
Does anybody recognize the same problem as his own? (I secretly think of “yes”)
