T.H.T.

T.H.T. = Tenminste houdbaar tot (Expiry date)

Today my housemates and I did some cleaning in our kitchen. We discarded some cooking utensils that don’t work properly and a lot of food that were over its T.H.T (expiry date). While we’re laughing and throwing things away, I said, “Look first at the expiry date, if it’s over than there’s no need to ask whose stuff it is.”

Then out of nowhere came the thought in my mind, that humans also have an expiry date. We are not going to exist forever, it only works for a certain period of time. Maybe we should learn from those food scattered in our kitchens, to accept the reality when it doesn’t work anymore and leave this world peacefully.
